Our audio tours take you on scenic routes through some of Andalucía’s most picturesque cities and towns, including the must-see sights as well as lesser-known corners and hidden viewpoints. The tours will help you develop a deeper understanding of the region’s rich history and culture, including its food and drink, festivals and way of life.
We have created the tours using the innovative VoiceMap app, which uses your phone’s GPS to automatically play audio based on your location. Ben will guide you around each destination, telling you stories about local history and culture, and explaining the sights you pass. There’s no fixed schedule, so you can go at your own pace, and take a break whenever you like – to have a drink in a charming square, to snap some photos or simply to take in the incredible views. You can even choose to do a tour in sections over several days.

What a beautiful way to see the city unfold in all its glory. So thrilled I took this tour! I was able to see so many areas of the city that I might have never found on my own. This is a must do tour! Take your time and soak in this incredible walking experience. PS. I loved the personal notes of the hosts experience in Granada. We decided to stop in his favorite area of town for Tapas, and he’s right 😉

Questions and answers
The VoiceMap app uses your phone’s GPS to automatically play audio based on your location. This allows us to give turn-by-turn directions, as well as explaining what you’re seeing right now. During the tour, you can put your phone away and immerse yourself in your surroundings. One difference with a traditional audio guide is that we tell stories about local history and culture as you walk along, so it’s like a moving podcast. More about how VoiceMap works.
In VoiceMap, an “indoor tour” is a tour of a single sight, for example a monument or museum. There is often no GPS signal, and anyway the locations are too close together to use GPS to play audio content automatically. You therefore need to play the content manually at each location. This applies to our Plaza de España tour – even though you won’t spend much time actually inside the building!
If you click on one of the tours or the “buy the tour” button, it will take you through to VoiceMap where you can purchase and download the tour. More information about purchasing and downloading VoiceMap tours.
Once you download the tour, you have lifetime access. This means you can preview the tour in advance, do part of the tour one day and finish it the next. Or revisit your favourite places at any time. More about how VoiceMap works.
You can download our audio tours in advance, for example, when you’re in a WiFi zone. Once downloaded, they operate using GPS, which doesn’t require data. They also come with offline maps, so you don’t have to pay for data while you’re out exploring. More about how VoiceMap works.
Of course! You can stop as many times as you want. There’s a pause button, or for longer breaks you can end the tour and then select “resume” to continue where you left off.
The tours are designed to follow a specific route, with the narrative unfolding as you go, so they may be difficult to follow if you jump in half-way through. We therefore strongly recommend that you start the tour at the beginning. That being said, you can start at a different location using the “resume tour” option and skipping forwards or backwards if necessary.
VoiceMap have tours and customers all around the world, so all tours are priced in US dollars. But don’t worry, you can pay for a tour in another currency (e.g. € or £). The price will vary slightly depending on the sales channel and prevailing exchange rate.
