Questions and answers
We have tried to suggest a range of itineraries of different lengths, so there’s something for everyone. There are itineraries that focus on the best-known sights, and others that take you more off the beaten track. Some itineraries put most emphasis on cultural heritage and history, while in others the local gastronomy or dramatic scenery are equally important.
We’ve actually been to all of the destinations, and we’re realistic about travel times between locations and the length of time you need for each activity. We take into account opening hours and the best time of day to do each thing.
We group activities that are close together, to reduce unnecessary travel between them, but we also try to strike a balance between different types of experience, so that you will have an enjoyable day.
The itineraries are just a guide – you can adapt them however you want, including mixing and matching bits from different itineraries, but remember to take into account how you’ll get from one destination to another and how long it will take.
Our itineraries are rooted in our experience of living in and travelling around Andalucía for 20 years. We’ve thought carefully about how to combine sights and destinations, taking into account practical considerations and what will make an enjoyable trip.
We put a lot of thought and research into producing each itinerary, so we haven’t covered the whole of Andalucía yet. The good news is that we’re adding new itineraries all the time, so it’s worth checking back regularly. If you want to ask us about specific destinations or sights, feel free to get in touch using the contact form.
We don’t provide in-person guided tours, but we do have self-guided audio tours for many destinations in Andalucía, created using the VoiceMap app. They are a very flexible, as you can go at your own pace and stop whenever you want – to take photos, for a drink or for lunch. As you’re not part of a big group, you also get a more peaceful and intimate experience of what you’re seeing.
We don’t currently offer a trip-planning service, but the detailed itineraries on the website should help you to design your perfect trip. If you have any specific questions, feel free to contact us – we’ll do our best to respond if we can.
